- Abstract -

The case study supports the ideas of Ştefan Odobleja on affectivity and its influence on the entire psychological life of the individual, i.e. personogenesis according to maternal (affective) and paternal (authority) models. Affective sensations and images are subjected to the laws of resonance, resulting in positive thoughts (consonance) and negative thoughts (dissonance). The law of equilibrium confers psychotherapy the possibility to recover lost balance by cognitive-behavioural-type interventions. Psychotherapy, from a consonantist point of view, may become a new way for regaining human bio-psycho-social balance.

Key words: consonance-dissonance, affectivity, psycho-somatic, resonance, reversibility, bio-psycho-social
